Toronto has become a major travel hub, and both residents and visitors routinely find they need to get from the downtown area to the airfield. Whether you’re about to head out of town as your vacation winds down, or you’re a local about to head out on a business or leisure trip, getting to Pearson International Airport is simpler than you might think. There are several transportation options available Airport Taxi Reading.
The GTA boasts a very well developed public transportation network that can get you, your family and your luggage to Pearson International without too much hassle. GO Transit is perhaps the most widely used system, incorporating both buses and trains. There is also a new express train that connects the heart of Toronto and the airstrip (it runs from Union Station to the airport and back).
If you’re not in the mood for public transport, you can make use of the express shuttle. You’ll catch the shuttle at the arrivals terminal into town, and the trip takes about 40 minutes or so. It also serves most of the hotels in the GTA. However, the shuttle only runs every 20 minutes during peak travel times, and every 30 minutes during off-peak times.
The problem with both the public transportation system and the shuttle is that your travel will not be private. You’ll be required to ride with others, and there’s the chance that groups may have to be split between different buses, trains or shuttles. It can also be a challenge to carry your luggage via train, bus and shuttle, as well.
Rent a Car
If you want the ultimate in no-hassle transportation, you can consider renting your own car. That will allow you to get from downtown to the travel hub without too much trouble. However, it will require that you have working knowledge of the GTA, or a means of navigating the city’s streets to reach your hotel or other destination.
Perhaps the best option available is to take a Toronto airport taxi from the downtown area to the airfield. Person International lies outside the city proper, and cab drivers from a reputable company can ensure that you reach your destination on time, every time. Hiring a cab offers a number of advantages in comparison to the other methods mentioned, including:
• Private: You won’t have to deal with other travelers, their luggage, or their delays.
• On Time: With public transport and shuttle buses, you have to deal with multiple stops, but with a cab, you go from the downtown area directly to the airfield.
• Cost: Renting a car can be extremely costly, but hiring a taxi in Toronto from downtown to the airport is far more affordable, and you don’t have to worry about turning in the car before you catch your departing flight.
